Derby Results

We had our Derby Sunday and my son finished first. His time on a 32' super track was 2.67, second place was 2.68. My car finished second in the open division. His car is the General Lee and he also built Cooter's Tow truck. http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/1193/img1330wk3.th.jpg http://img230.imag...

Re: Pine woods masters, I need help with next year rules.

Our rules are fairly loose in that I do not require a scout to use the actual wood block. I do this because not everyone has access to power tools and I would not someone to get hurt attempting build a car without proper equipment. That being said here are our rules. Re: Vintage car

Re: Any Experience with the Track from Make Tracks?

Seems inconsistent ... is this what you intended to say??? Works well, so cars are jumping track???

No sorry. I should proof before I hit the submit button.
We had problems with cars jumping off our old wood track but not with the super track.

Re: Any Experience with the Track from Make Tracks?

We have been using Super Tracks model and have had good luck with it. Super Tracks do not use a center section to keep the cars on the track. It has beveled outer edges that work quite well. Since we have been using it we have had cars jumping off the track. http://www.supertimer.com/track/supertrac...

Re: Bizzare Parental Behavior - CAUTION - Very Negative!

My worst derby experience was when one of the children showed up with and won with a car that his brother built years before. We did not find out until after the race when my son told that he had bragged about it. The next year he showed up with the same car and finished second. The cub master was i...
