Thanks, I didn't expect to get best in show after seeing Whoda's trucks but was excited when I did.
Thank's Mark!

Re: Non-tungsten, non-toxic car

Speedster thanks Yes 6 rolls of 50 would be 300 Don’t know why I typed 250 guess I was thinking 5 rolls of 50 would be closer to 25 oz. Eagle sounds like you and I are in the same boat When it comes to testing the truck threw a curve. The longer the truck is the more the wheels need to be closer to ...

Re: Non-tungsten, non-toxic car

I wonder how many roles of pennies it would take to come up to weight on a Big Rig. Might be kind of cool to make them the cargo. Maybe a logging truck. Today's penny weighs 2.5 grams .. 100 of them = 250 grams .. or = to 8.81 ounce 11.3 pennies per ounce. 50 pennies per a roll.. 6 rolls of pennies...

Re: .087 axle vs .092 axle

Well Speedster, This is a good one! Small vs large axles! And drift with stock wheels My thoughts are the smaller axle size would have more Movement or slop in the wheel bore because of the Loose fit. Larger axle size not as much movement. Guess it comes down to the wheel bore size. And ratios of fi...

don't use Basswood for the chassis and then break it in half when cutting out weight pockets.

Different views for you! http://i67.tinypic.com/2reibfo.jpg Not the best pic at showing why i moved the raised wheels out http://i63.tinypic.com/t0hxsw.jpg You may also note how i cut the rear fenders out to clear the track rail while in the curve also. Sure don't want those dragging the track as we...

Re: Stretched frame pusher axle Peterbilt.

I apologize. I did not make myself clear. I didn't mean to refer to the rules. The rules are fine. I was suggesting someone talk about all the mistakes a person can make while building a truck (I think I made them all). Too much wood either in front of or behind the truck wheels so it does not clea...
