Speedster,
Per The Best track web site..
The Best Track Big Rig Extension is 12" long .
The normal Best Track ( setup for the cars ) from the back end of the track to the start pen is 8".
So with the big rig extension on the track you would be 20" from the back end of the track to the start gate.

Re: Is teflon dry lub compatible with graphite?
Teflon powder alone just doesn't preform or work as well as graphite lube alone dose ! Mixing the two together is only going to compromise the performance of the graphite lube. So you would be better off mixing different graphite lubes together then you would mixing the Teflon powder with graphite. ...

Re: First attempt at a ladder chassis...
I can't say for sure how Gtdhw attached the top cover to the car.
However if this is what your looking to do for your car.. maybe try using some Rc airplane hinge tape or some CA glue on type airplane hinges.
To give you the access needed under your top cover plate.

Re: Semi truck with a Lowboy trailer build.
Thank's Speedster! Just got back from Walmart with some small scale chain to use on holding the loader to the trailer. And speaking of the small scale chain binders and trying to make some of my own for this big rig build.. I just ran across some small scale working chain binders at kitformservices....

Re: Jeep with trailer build
A scroll saw sure would’ve cut my time down vs my knife and sandpaper method. Funny you should say that davet! if you carved your jeep out with a knife you done a really good job of it! And nice use of the Max V wheels as well on the jeep! http://pinewoodworld.com/wp-content/themes/pinewoodworld_no...
