Re: Testing your car on a guided track, when racing on a lane track

Hi and :welcome: MJThurston. So your racing on a rail less track and it's wood! ( and not the super timer track .) Might look at what your rules say about wheel mods .. ( if the side wall lettering can be shaved off it would help ) If your not planing on using some neg camber on the lifted wheel to ...

The car's are to be 180'' inches in length ( = to 9 feet) and 48,000 ounces..

Re: Ultrasonic cleaning for axles!

Thanks
So does the ammonia discolor or eat away at the plating on the axles?

Hear tell to stay away from it for the air brush parts however.

Re: Aggressive COG limits

Let's say we are on a best track. Decently set up with good seams. Rear is balanced left-right and aligned properly. 130.5g in rear and 12.5g on DFW with 4.5" of drift in 4', theoretically. Is that pushing limits for BSA stock materials? What could happen? Theoretically your COG would half to be a ...

Re: Starting position for rail riding.

That is a good question! If you car has a raised wheel you wouldn't want to stage it up against the rail. As it has to spin up scrubbing off speed. I think by having your car staged with the DFW off the rail that there is less.. Rolling resistance to get it moving. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: One half inch Center of Gravity

Something tells me If you've have a good smooth track.
With some true round wheels & excellent axle alignment that you could get away with a more aggressive weighting.

Graphite on wheel tread

It might offer a slight improvement
In heat times! Say 4 thousandths of second on smooth aluminum tracks.
Might even offer more of a benefit on rougher tracks!
