Re: Looking for a track in PA

Thanks guys. I am looking for a track but I don't know if I have the time to get it done. Based on what the old remnant cars have done since I left, I might still have a chance. I have retired so many times... This would be my third time back and it has been three years. B: Lets stay in touch. I mig...

Re: Wheel runout quality report

The radial runout numbers are not too bad for how long those mold numbers have been making wheels. The lateral rounout is also a concern with these aging mold numbers. I have not checked any new wheels for several years. Shawn and I sold a bunch of our old wheels earlier this year. Those early wheel...

Re: New Style Wheels from Early Production Days

I am getting no takers on the wheels. I included shipping on everything. Also, I dropped the price in the 2s.

Piantedosi 6 lane Start Gate [GONE]

I got a Piantedosi 6 lane start gate that is in good shape. Anybody need it for their pack? If it is for a pack, the gate is free along with shipping.

New Style Wheels from Early Production Days (SOLD)

Scout Dads, I have new style PWD wheels from the early production era when the resultant wheels had superior bores and radial/lateral run-out. All these wheels came from the 2010 Pinewood Derby Big Rig Racing Kits that I purchased a long time ago. These are quality wheels that you will not find anym...

Oil for Sale [SOLD]

Hey Scout Dads, I am selling some of my oil for Pinewood Derby Racing. My Son (Shawn) and I used to race in cub scouts and league racing under "SLT" and "TNR" Racing. Shawn finished Cub Scouts last year when he attained his Arrow of Light. We quit league racing last January. I am an engineer and hav...

Re: Mid America

Gregg, Send me you number. I will try to get to the race to support set-up. I intentionally got rid of all my cars except for SLT-R1 which is lost at this moment. Additionally, Darryl has a pretty fast stocker that I will give to him for all his help. Bill has several beautiful cars with his name on...

Re: Mid America

I believe it would be good to keep those League Racers out of the Adult Races. They will have their hands full with the other League Racers. That Pro Division will have some heat coming down that track. If it is not an issue, my son Shawn will enter the Cub Scout Division with his Cub Scout Car that...

Re: Mold #s on the wheels?

I have six of these tools. These tools are relatively inexpensive so it is good to have a couple around. The tool is made so it is easy for a Scout to use. Very simple and easy to understand. It is good to do a little sanding on the tip of the tool. Each of my tools has been modified to comply with ...

Re: axle polished grit level - oil vs dry lube

Jia-A-loo (Methylene Chloride) should not be used around young Scouts. Nasty stuff. You don't see vendors selling this stuff for that exact reason. If you are running graphite, you can run a number of different methods with similar results. You don't need expensive waxes like Legend or re-bottled, e...

Re: Food Dehydrator to dry wood or paint?

We use BSA or Max V Wood or our Pro or Cub Scout BSA Cars. Usually, our wood is very dry and has sat for a year. Throw your cut or uncut wood on heat vent. Watch for warpage. If the wood get warped, just sand it down on a flat surface before drilling holes. Painting is kind of volatile depending on ...
