Re: New York Race

For me, the order of importance would be as follows: 1. 4 wheels on the ground, no bending axles. I stay away from the ONE district in the Erie Council that requires all 4 wheels be on the ground. I can't imagine how many very fast 3 wheel rail riders would now need to put the 4th wheel down, probab...

Re: Stop section

The film is Great but the Stop Section is useless. Check the "Search" function for ideas. My stop section is made from 3/8" Plywood, 1/4" X 1 1/2" Pine Lattice strip ( stock size) and the lanes covered with Walmart drawer liner. The section is 8' long and I do not send the cars up a hill. I think an...

Re: New York Race

Randy, I wish you the Very Best on getting rules changed to try to make it more fair for everyone. It probably is too late for this year but I think it would benefit everyone in the future if the rules were different. You did a Great job on the rules for " Ford Fast Track Racing " and made it a lot ...

New York Race

I've read the rules for the Stock Class and I think they've made a huge mistake. ( 4 on the ground and NO bending axles ). That is far from making it fair for everyone. I think only the SUPER skilled will be able to accomplish building a very fast car. This, of course, is simply my opinion, because ...

Re: Shipping Trucks

Thank You. That answers some questions I had.
CONGRATULATIONS on the win. You have a Beautiful truck. Might you send a picture of it. I think folks would like to hear what you do for a living and how your truck was built.
I'd also like to hear how you shipped it without Busting it.

Re: Shipping Trucks

The Big Rigs race tonight. It's my understanding they race after the Pro racing. Mid America has a set up where you can watch it on your computer. Someone much more knowledgeable then I perhaps will volunteer to guide you. If you sent it Priority Mail you'll be able to track it. I doubt they will ca...

Re: Shipping Trucks

Not running any other classes. Been there, Done that. I'm hooked on the Class "B" trucks. This is a whole new Ballgame. I like the Class "B". The Class "A" is way to complicated for me. Just looking at all those wheels makes me Dizzy.

Shipping Trucks

The Mid America called me yesterday and told me the hubs on my rear wheels were both broken. The wheels were 1.8 gram and surely the area around the hubs was more weak because of the material removed. I was sure the way I packaged it the truck could sustain no damage. I was wrong. I should have list...

Re: Non-tungsten, non-toxic car

Just some thoughts. Best track sells a 2 lane curve for $72.00 which includes shipping. My rear wheels are 1 5/8" from the back of the truck. My truck uses a 1/2" board for the base. That doesn't help the front and is not necessary but it helped the back. I was able to angle the rear up so it would ...

Re: Non-tungsten, non-toxic car

I originally got these from Maximum Velocity but they do not show them anymore. You can get them from Derby Evolution. I should have called them "bars". They measure 1/4" x 1/2" by 1 1/2". They do not reach my rear axle by 1/8". Originally I needed to move the rear axle forward to get what I needed....
