Re: Less is More? Polishing Too Much

Some things to watch: 1. pix from Brady 2. follow-on multi-polish study 3. bent axle alignment video showing how to do bent axle alignment. I will watch for these things. Thanks! Sometimes I wonder, though, if I should lead those by the hand who won't invest their time to dig out useful information...

Re: Less is More? Polishing Too Much

Thats a great idea. I will do that for sure. I do know that the two cars the beat me at district were built similar to mine. We are all pretty good friends and I checked them out pretty good on practice day. I didn't notice any cant. I know that may have changed from one day to the next too. The rul...

Re: Less is More? Polishing Too Much

Rear wheels were touching on both because I didnt cant either. Both days the car didn't wobble. I was running slower...

Re: New track too long?

Thanks everyone. Our pack is really competitive. We also have a great cubmaster that holds work shops and practice days to avoid anyone from not finishing. Although he is stepping down next year :( so we will see what happens then. If your district race is running on a 40ft track, then it would help...

New track too long?

We recently purchased a new track for our pack. It's a new MW Freedom Aluminum with a K2 timer. We bought an extra 8' section so that would be a "50 foot" track (It measured 46.5' with a soft tape, pin-to-FL).......For perspective, our top time in our actual race was 3.7352 (see top-10 min...

Re: Lincoln Heritage Council - District Races; Thank You!

pg, I am in the Lincoln Heritage Council. They held eight "district" races this year. Last year, my son was lucky enough to snag a trophy and it says "regional" but I thought there were more than three races held, kind of like this year. I have no idea what the trophy's said this...

Re: Less is More? Polishing Too Much

Hey guys, I am the friend picard1963 was referring to in this post. I didn't get a chance to post yesterday and it seems you guys have covered the topic pretty thoroughly. I just wanted to give some insight on what we did and the results I saw. At the test day we didn't have the race day axles ready...
