Thanks guys,
I'm hoping to resume regular production after the new year. I'm happy to do some industry news and whatnot. As Eagle mentioned, I've had my hands full.
Next episode will be all about weights, and the one after that will be about aero.

Re: Raspberry Pi based Instant Replay system
With regard to the external sensor, I have toyed with it. What I have going now as a prototype that I need to test is a box that goes between the gate and the computer. When the box senses that finish line data has been sent to the computer, it triggers my code, using the longest finish time to go b...

Re: Raspberry Pi based Instant Replay system
I tried it with a USB camera, but the response was too slow. Granted, that was when I was running a Raspberry Pi B+. Now that I'm running a 3, it might be worth another try. That said, I am playing with the idea of networking a Pi Zero in to get another camera angle. I have all the hardware, I just ...

The friction material can be had at McMaster Carr in 10 or 50ft lengths.

Re: Tips for winning the SLOWest Car?
Are you allowed a sail? The best snail racers use a sail that deploys during the downhill, slowing the car down, then folds down as the car coasts slowly to the finish.

Yeah, basically Modge Podge or White glue watered down.
I haven't finished a set yet to take pics of, but when I have something pic worthy I'll throw it up.

Re: Hello brand new here.
I'd lube before tuning. As I understand it Krytox is good for weeks after application. I'm not really familiar with the oil application process, but I believe you just put a drop on the axle, turn it to coat the area that the wheel will ride on, put it in the wheel, and soak up any excess with some ...
