If the car doesn't clear the plastic check-in guide, then we take it to the track and let if run down once, if it's OK, then we pass it, if not, then the scout needs to work on making adjustments.

Hey, that's great news.
Just remember, if you're invitation to next year's race doesn't show up by race day - you know what to do to get in the race! At least the next time, you can say "I'm the defending champion!"
