Another large pack scheduling question (long)
I would like to get your opinion on our scheduling set-up for this year's PWD. You all were very helpful last year with my newbie questions and I am need of your advice again. Our set up is as follows-- 4 Lane Track with FastTrack (Micro Wizard - K2) Timer, GPRM 5.0 software Our rank headcount break...

Need GPRM help
My question is about doing more than one round in the Grand Finals while using GPRM 5.0.3. I've been playing around with the software doing several what-if's before we use it for real in a couple of weeks. We will be bringing the top 3 cars from each Tigers, Wolves, Bears, Webelos I, and Webelos II ...

Re: What do you think of this setup?
If I can ask another question-- Scenario -- we have a tie for 7th place after one of our first rounds between two or more cars. Is it better for me to run a tie-breaker to get down to 7 cars so we can use PN in the finals or should I allow more than 7 to go to the rank finals and use PPN or CPN??? M...

Re: What do you think of this setup?
Thanks Cory, Based on Stan's suggestion we will bring 7 cars from each rank to the rank finals. Then we will bring the top three in each rank to the pack finals.

Re: What do you think of this setup?
Thank you Stan. I knew you could help! :D I should have mentioned that it is a 3-lane track, 2 heats in each lane, and we will be using points. I'll take the top seven to the den finals and the PN/CPN those finals and then let those top three go to pack finals. I'll run the W-II as a 7 racer chart a...

What do you think of this setup?
In a few weeks our pack will be having our Pinewood Derby. Our pack headcount breaks out as follows assuming everyone shows up on race day: Tigers - 27 Wolves - 16 Bears - 16 Webelos I - 10 Webelos II - 6 We have GPRM 5.0 and will be using PPN to schedule each rank's race and then selecting the top ...

Re: Videos of Our Pack's Pinewood Derby and Cubmobile Races
Thanks for the nice comments. My wife thinks it's theraputic for me to run the website since it keeps me from building PD cars all year! :D Sporty, Thanks for the thoughts. While it was not the pack's first Cubmobile race it was mine since my twins were Tigers last year. I'll pass your ideas along.

Re: Tape Axle Slots before painting ?
Thanks everyone for your responses! We're going to tape over the slots. It can't hurt.
I'm also going to try the epoxy on the hub contact area on the car I'm building for the open race to see if it works but won't have our kids try it until next year.

Re: Tape Axle Slots before painting ?
Thanks dknowles67 for the feedback. Unfortunately, our Pack's rules require me to use the slots. We will be doing Stan's wax paper shim method for alignment (at least my boys and I will attempt it ).
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
