The thinner the better with this caveat. You need to be careful that the top wall isn't so thin that it will "lift" the rocket while in the carrier, and make the prop hit the racing line. I have seen rockets shaved down to 1/8-1/4 of a inch...others with lots of holes drilled in them. You ...

Our pack just finished doing its 2nd Space Derby. The shorter the better for the propellor holder...But that is not the most important prop feature. The most imp't prop feature is that the prop is on correctly with the FLAT end facing out. This is always a big problem at Space Derby. AT our Pack 446...
