Re: BSA Razor Wheel

Joker, Thanks for the kind words. These were actually my second attempt (or was it third or fourth), the earlier versions had the shortened hub (using dremel you picture) I found them to be too sloppy for my liking. Without additional material on exterior of hub for axle support they seem to flop a...

Re: Graphite question and ideas

Your process sounds good to me. Just putting the pipe cleaner in the dremel tool and keep speed at a reasonable rate. You do need to be careful that you are using the right kind of pipe cleaners. Some have a hard substance in the feathers. What I believe we were doing is scaratching the bores. But ...

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it"

(I've ruined several winning cars trying to make them faster.....as long as a car is winning - don't try rebuilding it until it gets beat or you build a faster car)

Wow, how cools is that! Joker, do you have any details of the car they built? http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e65/WILDCARDRACING/MOMDerby.jpg Here is another picture MOMDerby sent me of her son's car (being staged) (the car was a 3-wheel RH, standard wheelbase with rear wheels moved to back of ca...

Re: AWANA speed axles, yea or nay

Does anyone know where that link is or was. I'd be intersted in the test results. Thanks. :D Just go to Stan's website to find Barga's test......the link is at the bottom of everyone of Stan's posts. Barga's test was a spin test. A spin test predicts very little about the performance of oil since t...

Re: AWANA speed axles, yea or nay

So is what your saying then if a car is using a wet lube rather than a graphite, then this axle design is of no benifit then? Grooved axles work better with graphite. It is debatable which is faster with graphite / over a few runs. The benefit for the grooved axle with graphite comes after the few ...
