Re: BSA Wheels and axles

Since you raised the possibility, why aren't the Max-V wheels made with tighter bores, then?
I set the bore size to the smallest it could be and still fit the Pro-Hub Tool.

Re: BSA Wheels and axles

The reason for the size of our speed axles is to fit in BSA-size slots and holes. If the diameter was larger then they would be too tight. Awana axles are larger, but so are the slots on the Awana block. A better solution would be for BSA to reduce the diameter of the wheel bore to better fit it axle.

Re: Rail Riding - First Attempt (failure, sort of)

A couple of thoughts: 1. Rail Rider - To minimize the rebound when striking the tool, put the Pro-Axle Press on a piece of wood (2x4) on he concrete. The wood will absorb some of the impact and minimize the rebound. Also, the Rail-Rider is sensitive to the diameter of the axle. So if you use BSA Nai...

Re: Rail Riding - relationship between COM and drift

As you make the COG more aggressive, you need to increase the drift so that there is more pressure on the guide rail to help keep the car going straight. (since there is less pressure on the track itself)

Re: Weighted Wheels

Re: infra red timers - why is the receiver on the bottom?

The Judge timer from newdirections does have the light source in the track and the sensors on the bridge. In my experience it has the least issue with light reflectivity. Maybe better than flat black paint is to reduce the size of the aperture in the track. An 1/8 inch hole is big enough so sense th...
