Re: So, what would you recommend with these rules...

the 4 on the floor flat and using the slots just is'nt right.
give 30 scouts blocks of wood nails and wheels and their parents to help.
for the novice push in the nails with the wheels and i would bet 70% of them only 3 wheels touch the ground.

allignment is key

Re: weight placement

Note that the location of the CM dictates: 1. Scale under left side wheels and a scale under right side wheels will both read 3 ounces. 2. Scale under rear wheels will read 4 ounces; scale under front wheels will read 2 ounces. Results: 1. If all the wheels participate in supporting the car, each fr...

Re: weight placement

i whant to say it would be equaly shared among the remaining 3 wheels but after racing stock cars though the different rate springs probly had more to do with it. would tell me that most of the weight would go to the left rear. but the pinewood car has no different springs. i would say the weight fr...

Re: weight placement

so i should put the weight lower but i dont whant to go through the bottom of the car.
i guess thats why the cubes are better they can be gluen in flush with the bottom of the car.
does this look better.

Re: Deepening Axle Groove for Raised Wheel

i would assume you straighten the axle first and remove the burrs at the point.
otherwise i would worry about making a hole in the slot that is to large.
or maybe you glue the axles in when finished with tunning

Re: Does your unit require that axles use slots?

here is what they stated. Use the pre-cut grooves. That's why they are there. You may not r...
