Re: Bad experience at invitationals
A first suggestion for you to give as a volunteer (if accepted) would be to change the title of the "rules" page to "GUIDELINES" or "SUGGESTIONS". Or better yet throw out the ones they are not going to enforce. Not sure I would have kept pushing after the second "c...

Very Nice Work. Now I'm hungry for a peanut butter cup and I just ate lunch. Good luck at the race. Be sure to let us know how your team does.

Re: AWANA kits
I too would like to source a bulk kit of wheels and axles for my kids' personal fun. The individual kit price is not a solution for me. You could do what my nieces AWANA Club did then. They sourced their kits from Maximum Velocity. They are real nice kits with great axles and wheels. Sorry I wasn't...

Re: Rail rider pulling opposite way? How to fix it?
Amen it worked! DFW axle sharpie line is pointed at 4:00 and it is 1 inch drift left over a 4 ft. roll. YAY!!! A HUGE thank you for all of your help fellas. I can't begin to tell you how appreciative I feel. I'll take a picture of my daughter's car in a bit and post it. You guys are the BES...

Re: Rail rider pulling opposite way? How to fix it?
get the rear wheels right first without the front. use the tape method or tack method (my preference) then add the front and adjust steer. A tip for the rear wheels I like to do with straight axles is leave a large gap say 1/8" - 1/4" between the body and wheels (this is only temporary til...

Re: Prepping for district
Has anyone tried a desiccant? You know, those packets included in various store items such as new shoe boxes that say "Do Not Eat" on them? They absorb moisture from the air--that's their job. Would it make sense to put one in a zipper bag with a PWD car? It would reduce or eliminate cond...

What were you hoping to see from this game? How do you know where the imbalance was in order to start the roll?

Re: Does Sequence of Polishing Operations Matter?
I don't think 100x is going to get you what you want. See pics below. You can't really tell the difference between at sub micron levels at that scale. I took your picture and imported into my CAD, scaled it to the scale bar then placed pairs of lines using stan's numbers at each indicated micron dis...

Then why point out the typo that's not a typo now vs. after districts. Ya know people are impatient. At least throw a bone to the dogs to chew on.Stan Pope wrote:...(Details sometime after our district races.)...

Re: Does Sequence of Polishing Operations Matter?
... BTW, I'm still waiting for someone to raise question about my "typo" from a few posts ago in this topic. :) I noticed it but just thought it was just that...a "typo". Is it not? I guess I'll bite. How do you turn an axle down from .087 to .090-.096 ? :scratching: I ...

Re: Axle finishing step Question!
... I have 2 questions. 1. What is the diameter of your axles after all that sanding? 2. What is the Micron rating of Brasso? ... Out of all the information on the internet I could only find two reference to Brasso micron rating. 0.25 micron on one of the pro boards... no reference available to sou...

Re: I want to build a track....
Well picked up the track...was disappointed to find out that it was not 40' (actually under 32' end to end), but that made it easy for hauling. The kids played on it all day yesterday mostly with matchbox cars....probably 8+ hours straight till they ran out of matchbox cars to test against each othe...
