Re: I heard from Lowe's that there were over 10,300 entries!
We gave it our best shot, and I'm proud of the work my boys did!! When we first entered, we thought we had a great chance compared to last year's winners. The folks at the contest said that last year they only had 300 entries though. We're already planning for next year!! About a week before the dea...

Re: New way to finish a car
Just thought of something, you can get waterslide decal paper from different sources and print with your ink jet printer, that is how we make our custom decals. They make both white and clear papers (we got ours from Micro Mark). After the ink is dry, use Krylon acrylic clear to set them and make t...

Re: Lowe's Dremel Derby Design Contest Results?
Yet another delay. Now they are saying sometime during the week before the 9th of May. It seems they are having trouble getting Jimmie Johnson's schedule free to do the judging.

Re: Dad's Cars
Great looking cars, I see you're an Indy Fan!! I've been thinking about doing the Jimmy Clark Lotus but you've beat me to it. Granatelli would be proud on your STP Turbine too. They look great!! The cars you have done have had a huge impact on the 500 as I'm sure you're already aware. Hopefully I'll...

Re: New way to finish a car
Looks great!! BTW, ALPS brand printers have an optional white ink cartridge for printing white on clear. They also use a dye sublimation process which is waterproof. They are discontinued, but if you ever run across one at a yard sale or ebay, it would sure be a good buy.

Re: My 10 Year Old's Car
They are 1/24 Scale waterslide decals. Slixx.com used to carry them, but they stopped selling Nascar Decals about a year ago. The various teams were wanting more and more for licensing and it got to the point where it just wasn't worth it for them. They put all of their Nascar decals on clearance sa...

Re: race cars are slowing down & chattering as race prog
It's hard to say without seeing it run, but it sounds like an alignment issue. Possibly losing it's alignment as the race progressed. There are members of the forum with much more experience than me. Hopefully they can shed some light on this. How was your alignment done initially??

Re: Down and Derby Movie
I haven't seen it yet but the portayal of "Lead Soup" is kind of disturbing. There are so many kids these days who act out what they see in movies. I just pray no child actually tries it.
