Re: Help Cars Finish!
Good Advice, Gentlemen. We do all those things and it works well. A new challenge we had this year was the Revell Pre-cut cars. They are illegal in our District. I was the inspector for a neighboring pack and we had 4 Revell cars show up. The Pack leader wanted them to race so we let them race. I'm ...

Re: Question?
There are several Pro leagues available if you want to race all year. The midamericaderby is coming up in May and has a Division for anyone. Since you're on Derby Talk, you might like to put a Derby Talk sticker on your car. Stickers available from Sporty. If he's out of them, email me. I'm not tech...

Re: pictures of our finished car RACE RESULTS ADDED 3/3
I'm glad the guy did a nice job staging the car but I think "staging" is a big part of the children's fun. Was the track elevated above the floor or was the Start end simply 4 feet above the floor and the rest of the track on the floor? All that is needed at the start end is a step that wi...

Brady, I recognize that hinge. It was special made by the guy who sold the program and the hardware to go with it. I bought the program in 1985 and used it for many years. It hooked up to a computer and took the times out to 4 decimal places. You were suppose to notch out the guide strip for the hin...

CONGRATULATIONS to the Awana Mom Team !!!!!! It sounds like the cars a Rocket. With those consistent times your daughter might want to teach Staging techniques. I should probably be her 1st student. Job Well Done.

CONGRATULATIONS to Duncan and the Moeur Racing Team. You all did very well. Great pictures. My favorite was the block of wood. That scout has to have a great sense of humor.
Are you entering your cars in the midamericaderby?

CONGRATULATIONS to your team. Job Well Done.
I've been looking at the other cars. Some seem to have an extended wheelbase or are they simply short cars. Several of the entrants in a race I helped with yesterday had Revell cars and they were all 6" in length. I'm just curious about your rules.

Stan, don't you just really Dislike those "Unknowns"?
Did you by any chance use "Red Rocket" or any other type wax before applying graphite? Did your competition? Do you think wax could be a benefit? Does wax fall into the "Unknown" category?

Re: Mid America
I've enjoyed reading everyone's thoughts. There are rules in the Open Adult Division and I suspect there will be very knowledgeable inspectors. I'm hoping there will be a lot of folks like Sporty entering this Division so I can determine how much faster a car can go than the ones I'm entering. We al...
