Re: In charge of 2016 track...now with results.

Well it is all over. The amount of work, stress, and anxiety involved in getting a race going from scratch (New rules, new equipment, new help, new format, new venue) is not to be taken lightly. It consumed the past four weeks of life in this house. Overall, the results were worth it. Adding an elec...

Re: Wheels Suck!

Wow, how many did you go through to get that many under .001? I assume the colored ones are USA, not Revell?

Re: 2016 line up

Thanks guys. The kids really enjoyed their builds this year. It is fun to watch them do more and more of the build. The paint was allowed to dry for two weeks before clear coat, so I do not think that was the issue. I think I just let them go way too heavy on the clear. It looks great though. The sh...

2016 line up

Despite spending the past two months getting a track and timing system ordered, assembled and tested for the pack we still had time to build a fleet of new cars. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-jM4adslgFGE/VqaYOZI8FMI/AAAAAAAAFdE/6YYexCenPGU/s800-Ic42/16%252520-%2525201.jpg From left to right... ...

Re: "No response received from timer" after one heat...HELP!

Just to finish this up after sending the timer on a vacation to Microwizard and then to Randy at GranPrix Software, all is right with the world. Nobody was able to find any issues with the setup, but now that it is back it functions 100% as needed. Lane masking, and two way communication is all func...

Re: In charge of purchasing track and running 2016 PWD....

Well, less than a week until race day, I have never been more eager to get to race day. This project has been very time consuming. Getting everything together, built, tested, upgraded and comfortable in two months that include a holiday was aggressive. I wanted to start the process in September, and...

Liquid Glass

I would like to test liquid glass in our incremental testing results. Does anyone have a small amount they would be interested in selling off or trading for?

Re: Pledge Floor Care Finish?

I was raised by bodyman. I have used all of the auto paint from enamel, to lacquer, to base/clear poly. For these little models, I really am more and more impressed with Future. Six bucks for a lifetime supply, no smell, clean up with windex. Tonight we wet sanded my daughters car with 2000 grit and...

Re: Pledge Floor Care Finish?

The kids clear coated their cars last night. We used pledge without reducing this time (in the past I thinned 25% with Isop Alc). The kids have been using the airbrush and were taking turns laying down coats and it became a 'gloss contest'. These are dry in these pictures, but we will let them sit 2...

Re: What's the most current 'Q-Tip' brand for Wheel Bore Polishing?

A few questions... Is it one wheel per q-tip shaft, or can multiple wheels be done with the same one? Is there anything close to liquid glass performance in a lower price range? Is bore burnishing (if done) done before or after the polishing/waxing? I assume burnishing is always with graphite, and w...

Are you using only the paper portion of the Q-tip?

Re: "No response received from timer" after one heat...HELP!

I suggested it, he said not needed. I am also confident after using an LED status send and receive Serial test device that I am sending and receiving through the timer end of the serial cable. If he does not find anything I think the next step I would like to see is to have him ship it to you, in wh...
