Re: MicroWizard Setup Glitches
ok... Update.. I reinstalled both the driver package for the USB adapter as well as the Utility from Microwizard. - now I get a connection to the utility, and it transmits times to the "test race" function on that tab. When I open GPRM, and go to hardware setup, and select start testing, i...

Re: Let's Talk about "Plan B" and "C"
I am highly inspired by the monumental depth of experience represented on this forum. Having the "worlds greatest" minds and gurus at my fingertips truly rocks and allows me to feel like those people in the Verizon commercials with the giant group of technical people standing just off came...

Re: Pit Area Plans - Help Needed
IF you already have the Best Track Boxes, then I recommend that you use them side by side as your impound area. Here are a few pictures of the boxes we just built. We added internal corner braces plus some lateral supports to the exterior to insure we didnt have issues later. We also framed out the ...

Re: Pit Area Plans - Help Needed
I am plannning to use the plans provided by BESTRACK to create storage cases for our track, with one modification - I am planning to make the lids overlap style ( think shoebox lid ) rather than flat and hinged. I am planing to put a 2 inch lip around the perimeter of each lid, so that when you flip...

Re: Question of accuracy with starting gate hardware
OK, so answer me this - given the potential limitations of the Laser Gate, how exactly does my combination of hardware trigger the start of the heat timer without using the laser gate? ( remember I am not yet in possession of our new hardware so this may be an academic question )

Re: Lets Talk about Storage
Experience is the result of successes and failures all food for thought. Mine is always a constant struggle between the fantastic theory in my head and what ultimately becomes a success ( or failure ) in practical application. Having the thoughts about mobility arose from the possibility of "re...

I was reading in another post the following statements referencing the advantages and disadvantages of Times vs. Points with regards to Timer Errors: "Points Advantage If the operator running the start gate causes a slow heat (which can happen with the older style gates), the results are still ...

Lets Talk about Storage
I am honored to be posting for the very first time on this board. I am what you might describe as one of those guys who had a far too brief taste of BSA as a boy and now gets to make up for it by being a BSA leader. I feel fortunate to have landed a Committee Chairman position in this unit, as I now...
