Re: looking for software that ....

I am looking for software that will fit our needs. We have a homebuilt printer port timer and a three lane track. We don't usually use the middle lane, we want software that will allow us to enter scouts names and have it run a double elimination bracket for all dens, and then run a double eliminat...

Re: GrandPrix Race Manager

Does GrandPrix Race Manager have feature that could be used to trigger a finish line camera? Not at this time. With the supported parallel port sensor systems this may be possible to implement, but not for the serial port timers. With serial timers, race managment software like GrandPrix Race Manag...

Re: GrandPrix Race Manager

Does the GrandPrix Race Manager software have the ability to control a solenoid activated start gate and racing light tree? Yes, it can via the parallel port. Compatible circuits can be found at http://grandprix-race-central.com/start_gate.htm and http://grandprix-race-central.com/light_tree.htm

The picture is one I have on my computer. It is not an internet picture. How did Sssnake post pictures of his hollow wedge in one post?
The photos need to be on the Internet somewhere. If you need a place to host them, you can email them to me and I'll upload them.

Glare off lanes interfering with a timing system

However, the bottom color may impact timer systems using incandescent light sources. Theorietically at least, a reflective bottom surface could allow light to bounce off a track then off the bottom of the car and then into the sensors thus slightly delaying triggering. We will typically paint the b...

I would hope there is a local source. I'd hate to pay $20 shipping for a $3.95 can.

Re: Picking the Perfect Complete PWD Racing System

Are there kits available to assemble timing systems (I'm not interested in soldering circuits or doing computer programing, but limited wiring is okay) or starting gates? Todd, If you don't want to do soldering, then you will pay significantly more, but less than a fully complete timer, of course. ...

Re: National/Regional PWD Workshop/Convention

For our region's annual Awana conference they put on a variety of workshops for leaders, including one for the Awana Grand Prix. This is a great opportunity to get several race coordinators in a room to share tips on running a race and get other information to help run a race. I've conducted this wo...

Re: Piantedosi Oars Track Review

To all, We did finally receive our new track (48 foot aluminum 'Freedom' Piantedosi track) last Thursday. It was ordered on November 24. I am not happy about the delay but was glad we did finally get it. I believe the delay in delivery was due to Piantedosi not being able to turn the orders they re...
