Re: Which car?
Thanks for the input all. I think I will race the orange one at the pack meeting for the "wow" factor and the pine one at the districts (just because I want too 8) ) If given the chance I will try to see which is faster. May have some adult competition at the pack level this year-damned Bo...

Which car?
So I am working on my last cub car  (like to get mine done before my son starts on his). I wanted to make a very simple car to show off the car materials-namely the pine and tungston. Yet I kept thinking it would be fun to really take advantage of the rule not requiring all 4 wheels to touch th...

Re: Mass-Producing Lead Weights for Scout Use?
Hello all. As a pediatrician and pinehead I thought I would weigh in (note the weight pun). To my knowledge the exposure to lead if handled briefly (not put in mouth or melted) to a scout aged child in minimal. Now if you melt it or aerosolize in dust and expose over time we are talking something el...

Pretty cool.
Questions:do you take photos at check in or at the race?
Do you put the photos on the screen for the audience to see?
How much time does it add to check-in?

Re: District level Survey Monkey
Birddog,
Thanks for the tip. I booked 4-23 for next year which should miss all that stuff-Oh course its another year for me to run the District.
Heres a question-should scouts that cross as Web 2 in Feb some to the district as Webs or open child? I am thinking the latter to pass the torch...

Other PWD kits
Hello all, Question on other PWD kits on the market. My friend was invited to PWD and the photos from last year show cars with narrow wheels that look like 1950 PWD wheels. There might even be dowel acting as an axle but its hard to tell. They are not Anawan kits...any idea what kits these are. Also...

Re: How light are your Mid America Wheels?
I also went with last years 1.4 gm wheels (prepped of course) This time I tried a 92 non-grooved axle for the DFW with 93 grooved for the rears. Sent in one scout graphite car and one adult car. Will be looking for my buds out there!

Re: Team Noskills 2015 Line-up
Hello all, District results. Another team sweep. We won first in scout, child and adult divisions. Track was running slower that the pack race with my son and daughter slowing by .03. My car on the other hand sped up 0.02 with better tuning. Great day and I think everyone had fun. Lots of door prize...

Re: Sponsors at Districts?
District race last Sat went off without a hitch. Our sponsors covered all costs and we made $350 in entry fees for next year. The door prizes were a big hit and kids seemed to have fun. Going host it one more time then were out!

Nice looking cars Birddog. I was going to talk some trash about the MA and beating you this heatproof but I think I'll hold my tongue.
