That'll be the coolest looking car on the parking rack for sure! You certainly dotted every "I" and crossed every "T" on that build. Can't wait to see how you guys do.

If you learned any tricks with that cover let me know. We'll be doing a car for a race in June.
I've never built a 4-wheeled rail-rider but the guys here have the best advice. You'll do awesomely.

We use Loc-Tite 60 minute from Menards. They have the 5-Minute Loc-Tite also which we use for the weights. We did not wrap it down and under in the front. We didn't want the paper cover to be what was going to be bumped and get damaged. We brought it to about 1/64" from the front edge and put a coup...

Re: wheel source

I hate to try something new but looks like I'll have to. Having a choice of colored wheels limits us somewhat. I've called a couple places and checked a few websites but not sure yet what we'll do. I don't have any bias towards any supplier, just looking for trued wheels that are at least better tha...

OK Whoda. You got me thinking. What can really happen with 20 bottles of polish in the fridge? If it's something I need be serious about I'll get on her about it. Besides, how can I pay for a new scrollsaw when I'm buying a new fridge due to nail polish damage. Hey, maybe I'll start putting my hacks...

Re: wheel source

I've used his wheels before and liked them but saw, I think it was your post, where your shipment was taking a while and someone replied he was having some trouble. I also liked being able to get colored wheels from him. He was also willing to custom machine them down to 1.163-1.165 just in case his...

That explains the bright flash when I opened the door once last year. I thought it was the day old burritos.

Re: Any recommendations for car design? Help appreciated...

A few yrs ago I went online and found Sally Hansen's Teflon Tuff which was supposed to be the most recommended by racers. There was much talk of what was going to replace it as it was no longer on the local shelves. I drilled 3 holes in a block of wood and coated around each hole with 2 coats of a d...

Re: Any recommendations for car design? Help appreciated...

When we ran graphite we would put an old wheel on an axle and install in the car with a big wheel gap. We would then put graphite around the axle on the body and push the wheel up against the body with pretty good pressure. We would reapply graphite several times and keep doing this. The wheel hub w...

OR, glue toothpick in your existing DFW hole then redrill higher when cured. This is better anyways as the car will sit more level instead of front high.
