I didn't see any other cars jump the track with the exception of one that clearly was too back heavy. I wonder if the guy putting my car on the track was just a little off center on 2 occassions. The other runs it made were smooth.

Darin, The rules dont say. I think the idea of drilling holes. Our pack uses district rules but I think our pack is very laid back about the details. We did not have a district final this year due to some costs so I have not had a chance to find out the details on the rules. Tiger dad newbie here :D...

It is only required when ones car has minimal wood? With a basic wedge can I still use lead strategically placed to have a COG about an inch from the rear axel?

My comment has something to do with the topic. Our rules require that you can see the axels for inspection. Not having the right tools I bought a block with drilled axel holes but made an ever so slight cut above them so you could look down into them. Had to use a knife on the low front hole to expo...

Jumping the track
Hello gurus, We had our first PWD last week and my sons car was average but it jumped the track twice and I dont know why. I suspect that it was placed at a slight angle in the gate as the front of my car was tapered and only about 1 inch wide. I think this as it jumped the track right out of the ga...
