Re: Best Track -- "Click, Click"

Congrats on getting the track together and running. It's a LOT of work. The hassles described here are why I do NOT recommend a Best Track for places that have to set-up, take down, set-up etc... It's fine if you just set it up one time, perfectly, and leave it there. People that don't take extreme ...

I've used the slot screwdriver and the axle pliers... I like the axle pliers.
Yes, I know they cost more.

Re: 2013 Pack Champion

Any thoughts about the numbers.....37, 38, 39, 46?
Those could be 'spin times' for the individual wheels? They put the fastest one as the DFW, two similar ones on the rear and the best one on the raised wheel?

Re: PWD 2013

If I get a chance to set up the Pack's Track again, I'll let Sully know so we can test it on a gentler supertimer curve and see what happens.

Re: Is this you???

When your workshop season ends, it would be interesting to see the number of hours you've donated. I was just curious to see how addicted we've all become. Did you want the total number of hours for this season or back to 1985? I'll do my best. Cheers Bill I had thought just this season. Mainly bec...

Re: RA car questions - Side rail design

If NOT allowed to lighten your wheels, you're going to be in trouble.
BSA wheels and axles weight about .5oz.

Great progress on the car. What did you use to create the weight pockets?

Re: Ways to test cars if you don't own a track

I found surplus glass top 4', perfect for a tuning table. Place a metal yard stick down the center to test for Rail-Riders. An old mirror works well too. For weights - Sporty's approach works well, buy Tungsten on sale, use 40% coupons at Hobby Lobby etc... I also scavenge lead wheel weights from Ti...
