I have a set of the original weights, but not the new ones. With the old weights, you couldn't cant the wheels without contacting the weight. It looks like the same issue exists with the new weights. How do you cant the rear wheels while using the Puma Weights?

I agree that large races need to use time as the basis - otherwise it takes too long. But for smaller races, points is great way to race.

Fyi - online vendors (including myself) have to buy the wheels for full price. We then typically mark them up $1.00 for resell. Since we are not "Scout Shops", we cannot buy them at a wholesale price from BSA.

Exactly, you shifted the wheelbase back to get the balance point further back (relative to the starting pin). But if you shorten the car, you are shifting the balance point forward (relative to the starting pin).

Make sure to check the instructions on the paint can. It will give a temperature range for best results. If you get outside that temperature range, you will likely have issues. This is true of any paint.
