Oddzilla understands the importance of always wearing one's safety bandana! :) Yes.. She reminds me of Rapael Firenzi. She has got that teenage mutant ninja turtle power thing going on. Just like Rapael. ;) Good luck to you oddzilla. And please do post a photo of the Atomic Wedge-E Car. http://i44....

Re: Rules that can't be or are not enforced.

Do complicated rules hurt the kids and the integrity of this race. You can check for grooved axels at inspection by useing a 3x magnifier lamp. You can see the grooves in the axels that have 4 or more grooves in them with out haveing to pull the axles or wheels off the car. Because the last groove c...

Re: burnish

With the pipe cleaners if you cut them down make sure the wire on the end of it that your feeding threw the bore is not bent in any way. I'd hate it if I went threw this step and scratched up the wheel bor...

Re: BSA Rules in the Box

Here is a fun read under the "Rules in the Box"
Notce that the rules in the box state.
"Only official cub scout Grand prix pinewood derby wheels & axles are permitted". What about the kit block?

Should there be a rule that the kit box must be used ?

5J's what clear are you using? Duplicolor Clear Coat - from the automotive line (the shorter cans) Seems like many of you like the Duplicolor paints. Painted in the area where the hub rubs the car body. Anyway that seems to be paint brand most liked and talked about threw out a few topics on here. ...

Re: Wheel Prep, Axle Prep

Take a look at *5 J's* league car that is useing the teflon bushing on the dfw. Sure it is not legal.. for BSA events. But the bushing is smoother then wood. And his car is running on what looks to BSA stock wheels in the photo.( hard to tell for sure!) :idk: why I even brought his car up on this to...
