Attaching Fenders from a BSA Fender Kit

My son and I are going to use the plastic fenders from the BSA Fender Kits on our cars this year. We were wondering what kind of glue would be best to use in order to attach the fenders to the car? Also, would it be easier to put a backing on the fender and then glue it to the car, or is it just as ...

Re: List of Essential Tools and More?

Make your "molds" by drilling shapes or holes in 2X4... Can someone elaborate on this more? Specifically, how do you get the lead out of the holes after you drill them (or are we using two pieces of wood here, each piece a half of the mold). Also if someone has another easy way of casting...

Re: The New BSA Rules ; Need Your Opinion's

I wouldn't have thought that rule #10 would be that necessary... I would have hoped that you could just take people on their word that it isn't the same car from a previous year. On the flip-side, couldn't someone use a clear sealer on the bottom of the car and just sand or plane the surface the fol...

Re: Bounty Car Race

I like the idea. Do you have any pictures you can post of what the "bounty car trophy" looks like?

Re: Hobby Miter Box wide enough for pwd

I believe X-acto makes one like what you are describing (with or without the X-acto Back Saw). There are a number of different places that sell it. Try this Google link and you'll see what I mean: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=X-acto+Mitre+Box -Nitro Dan My mistake... I think tha...

Slow or Fast? A unique perspective.

I recently stumbled across a Pinewood Derby site, where the objective of the race was not to design the fastest car, but to design the slowest car... that is to say, the slowest car that still crosses the finish line. This concept utterly intrigued me in my thinking of car design. I'd like to know t...

18 Wheel Pinewood Challenge

Was looking on the internet for information on Pinewood Semi-Truck racing and came across this site:

http://www.cfshq.com/pinewood.asp

Be sure to check out the rules. I found it quite interesting that they were using 4 x 4 fence posts for the trucks and metal drywall studs as the track.
