Lead Weights Mold

Post by stefjeano »

I would like to know if anyone knows where I can get a mold? I would like to make my own 3/8" lead wire weights.

Thanks

I believe that they're relatively inexpensive to buy. Whenever I order Pinewood stuff online, I normally get it within a few days. Some things you're just better off to let someone else do.

This is made from 2"X2"X1/4" structural steel angle:

Bolted together and drilled along join surface.

:D This was kind of what I was looking for. I imagine that it would be rough cutting the 3/8" holes. But I think I will try it anyhow.

THANKS

During drilling, have the bolts through the alignment/clamping holes at the end as well as additional clamps near where you are drilling. Otherwise, the angle sections tend to separate and bind the drill a bit. Obviously, a drill press is helpful!
