Pinecar axle cap question too

Post by psycaz »

I didn't want to hijack the other thread on these axles.

Anyone know of someplace to buy just the caps? Have a friend of a friend who has to use these and figured they might want to have extras on hand.

Thx

I looked on Pinecar's site and didn't see anything listed. The last few cars I built were from Pinecar (never again, I imagine). I might have the straight axles and caps still in my box o' parts. If so, would your friend want me to send them to him?

You could also try E clips to hold the wheels on securely, you may need to bring an axle into a specialty hardware store.

Honestly have no idea. I just was asked since I do a lot with our pack for the pwd. The whole:" they know someone who may be able to help out".

It's been a long time since we had to use PineCar kits, but IIRC, each kit came with an extra hubcap. Perhaps you could solicit donations of extra hubcaps from members.

Darin,

I sent I info to vitamink if he had anything left.

If anyone had some they wouldn't mind sending, I'd gladly forward items along.

I'll post heaps of thanks too :D

Sorry for being so pokey about this. I found two sets of axles and caps, which I'll put in the mail tomorrow.

Hope they help.
