Helped nephew build his car this year. Haven't built a car since my other nephew placed second to Warpspeed. I lurked for a while and asked a few questions when stuck.
Thanks to all the guys on the board!!!
Pack race was a 6-lane 49' wooden/laminated track. 44' Start to Finish.
Our car was :
Extended wheel base 5 3/8"
Car weighed 5.0oz
11/16 COM
0.66oz on DFW
Rear-drilled 1deg neg cant with straight grooved axles
3-wheel rail rider
DFW-drilled 1deg [junk] cant 1.5 deg bent grooved axle
Steer-2 1/2" over 4'

The race:
Ran 6 preliminary heats
Finished with highest average times
Ran 6 Championship heats
Ran fastest times 5 of 6 heats
Broke track record of 3.239sec (4) times with fastest 3.212sec

Nephew is Pack Champion!!!
