What stuff can you simply not have enough of?

Post by Vitamin K »

I think we all have our own favorite pet tools and materials. Right now, there's two things I'm noticing that I am always in need of:

- 5-Minute Epoxy
- Disposable X-Acto Knives

I should just buy both of these in bulk, because I can never seem to find them when I need them. I'm sure I'll think of more "essentials for which there is never enough surplus". :)

At our workshops, we usually go through more primer than we expect to. And we always seem to run out of spray paint in Everyone's Favorite Color™ (although we never know what color that is going to be until we've run out of it and there are several cars that are ready for their second coat).

+1 on the stock wheels and axles. After that my answer would be "time".

I like to remind people that you can build it fast or you can race it fast but you can't do both. Still some insist on learning the hard way.

Time!

Time to plan. Time to build. Time to prime, paint, and seal. Time to tune! Seems like I am always pressed for time to do the job well enough. Truth be told, I probably spend too much time planning, and could use that time on the back end of my builds.

Not sure if this is "stuff" or not but how about answers to my questions. I've found lots of ideas here and I need to read each one, sometimes several times, until I'm satisfied that I understand it. Also, I might not understand a concept until I've read it explained several different ways in many different threads. I've even gone back and searched for threads I read last year hoping to get reacquainted with a concept. Keep the answers coming.
