So I have a good friend who is a painter and airbrush artist, amazingly talented guy. he agreed to put a little color on our cars but he went so far above and beyond I'm floored. Knocked it out of the park on these!

The Hot Rod, need to come up with a name for it now

Hand Painted Apple Jack, I was seriously expecting a paper decal just glued to the car and Matt blew this one away (blew me away too)

Hot rods have pinstripes right!?

This thing looks fast standing still!

Wheels for the hot rod, cut the total eight on these down to 1.4 ounces WITH AXLES!

Complete with white walls! Did this on last year's little blue convertible and it looked so good I knew I had to do it again this year. Will post pics when I get some assembly and tuning done. Would seriously like some help on names for the hot rod, let me know what you think!

Should be fixed now, Google likes to move address links around. It worked in the preview for me when I drafted the original post but something must've changed.

After I got them trued up on the wheel mill I chucked them on a drill press to cut down the fronts (narrower) and remove the letters and print from the front. Then I made a jig on the press with the center axle offset from the press. Using a small drill bit (same one I use to drill my axle holes) I eyeballed a spot between the castings on the wheel surface and adjusted it until I was happy with where the hole would be, then I clamped down the jig to my drill press platform so that I could rotate the wheel (without the center point moving) and slowly drilled out all of the perimeter holes one at a time lining them up with the same marks on the surface casting. When they were all drilled I ran some 200 grit inside of the wheel and used an exacto blade to trim up some hanging chads. The centers were hand painted and the white walls were airbrushed. To do the white wall I chucked up a wheel in my hand drill on low speed and spun it while laying out the airbrush. We did it last year on the little blue convertible and it worked so well I had to do it again.

Very nice, I like the way the frame melts into the body and the illusion of suspension you get with that front end. Kudos

Very cool, I admire the dedication on the frame/chassis. I've got a '28 ford tudor sedan and considered doing more on the frame, but I just couldn't get it low enough where you would still be able to see any of it. The Canuk Truck is wicked!
