That is Gorgeous !!!!!
Send a picture to Maximum Velocity. Some of the folks that get his Newsletter might not be on Derbytalk. I would love to see that race in the Mid America.

VK,
I would like to race the truck it would be nice if there were a class c to race it under at about 10 1/2'' long now with the wheelie and push bars!
So maybe the only track time it will see might be on a pack track for fun..
The Mid America rules say a min of 17'' long for the class b rigs..So it falls short by 7'' inches and not having 8 total wheel on the truck!

I have been looking at making the Bandag Bandit truck as well.. I think the kids would enjoy seeing these two trucks run down a pack track for fun!

Plus I've also been wanting to share some cab over 18 wheeler truck builds as well.. I haven't made any of those type of trucks in a while now.

kcarchitect,
There is no added weight in the truck as it set's right now.. So I'd like to keep its build weight under my hat..
thanks to you telling me to hollow out the larger wood pieces. It is some what lighter now!
Here are the specks for this build to my pattern.
length is 10 1/2'' from the air scoop to the back of the push bars.
width is just under 3 3/8"
height is at 4'' to the tips of the back wing.. min is 3" and a max of 6 1/2" for the Class a and b rigs and Mid America.
So that's why i wish there were a class c type of race as well ..
to race trucks with this type of a set up I think it would be a fun little class to race trucks under as well.

Thank's Speedster ,
You know I did just that last night
To help out with his call for photos for his newsletter's!

The paint I used for painting the truck..
wicked colors by Createx. (air brush paints).. however i used model type paint brush's to paint with!
0013 wicked laguna blue.( light blue paint!)
0301 pearl white.
0303 pearl red.
0304 pearl blue. (dark blue paint!)
5308 pearl silver.
Extra paints by Testors model paints.
The masking tapes i used are by Headline .. art tapes Ruban d'art 1/16"- 1/4" sizes.
and then for a clear gloss I used Rust-Oleum painters touch 2x ultra cover.
Glad you like how the truck build & paint job turned out.
