Whoda, do you attend any venues where you actually get to see your creations roll?

Well VK!
To me building these wooden cars is my stress reliever.. and a good way for me to unwind from a hard work day by seeing what i can create threw woodworking.
And I do try to help out the scouts in my area when i can.. but with are local Scout shop closing do to the owner having health issues.
it's not like it used to be every year with holding the work shops for the kids. and i do miss it!

When work doesn't keep me away form attending a Cub Scouting pinewood derby event in my area that i here about i do try to attend there event.
However it's just to have fun and cheer on the kids... And yes seeing what I've made roll down there pack track .
Just getting to attend here on Derby Talk as well.. is where i get to see not only my creations roll across a screen but cars built by kids & adults as well.

But if you'r asking about some of the places i have raced at!
I raced at WIRL before the change.. now or days it's at Scouting events and Mid America when i can.

Unbelievable!!!!. That would sell for big dough at a craft store. I picture it hanging from the ceiling above some little kid's bed.

Funny you should say that davet! The thought of hanging it from ceiling in the wood shop has crossed my mind.

And Darin.. Thanks!

Whoda, you are a MASTER CRAFTSMAN. I think no one will deny that. What astonishes me is the speed with which you do it. Your photos are very educational and entertaining.
Thank you.

Thank you Speedster!

I have a few more builds in mind .
Seems like I’m always building cars
That are to complicated for kids to do!

So maybe it’s time for some simple and fast car builds that kids could do with a little help.
So I’m looking forward to sharing some simple to build cars as well.
