New Site - Smilies

Post by gpraceman »

When I get a spare moment or two, I've been slowly working on the new site.

Here's the new set of smilies that I have gathered (or created in some cases). They should allow for more member expression in posts. Let me know what y'all think.

Standard set:

Wow... That's quite an assortment.

One smiley that I didn't see, but which I've seen used on another forum, is an "eating popcorn" smiley. But I'm not sure how often this forum gets a thread where someone asks a question, and someone else expects to sit back and watch the show^Warguement^Wdiscussion that ensues...

Hmmm...not so sure about that one. Though, I have not come across a smilie like that.

Now that I have some Photoshop templates made up, I can gin up new smilies without too much trouble. That is for "static" ones. The animated smilies are much more work (unless there is an existing one that just needs some tweaking).

Here's the popcorn one.

One of my favorites for "drinking the koolaid". Probably appropriate when someone talks about front weighting so as to "pull the car down the ramp". :-)

I managed to find one a bit more like the other new smilies. Image

Drinking koolaid? Looks like eating something.

Here's some others I may be adding:

The soap box one is too funneee. I like the driver shifting gears but not sure what it expresses?

Glad you like it. I composited that together from two different smilies. I figure I'll get plenty of use out of it myself

Maybe a car speeding down the race track...

I suppose you could call it "Changing the subject" (shifting gears) - it's a stretch?? :)
