Hot wheel tracks

Post by zeezop »

Has anyone tried pasting hot wheels tracks on a board? Cheap, smooth and easily available. 4 runs properly spaced should allow 2 kub kars to race (or 4 hotwheels). This is my plan for this w/e with the kids.

The hot wheel track turned out pretty good. I put together a prototype where I attached the track to a 10 foot piece of shelving. The track was fastened with carpet tape. With the 12 inch shelving I was able to have 3 cars race against each other. This track was made with no tools and worked great.

Since the initial tests worked out so well I am going to glue down the track and let it set overnight. Just thought I would pass this on to anyone who may have wanted a test track but wanted to keep the cost and work down. ( 7$ for the shelf, 3$ for a roll of carpet tape, hot wheel track lying around the house)
