Unless there is some real good reason to buy a new track, that track might just need some tuning to get it to run well.
I'm with you Randy it looks like the Beta Crafts aluminum track plateing to me as well.
And that the track just needs a little tlc.

From the video posted: The problems I seen..
Was with car running in left hand lane as it bounced off of the 1st a 2nd track joints rails.
And the car running in right hand lane had some dipping issues at the 2nd joint ...
at about 0.16 - 0.17 sec into the video.

Plus it's very hard to tell from the video & the photos of the track..
To me it looks as if the track has some twisting issues to the left hand side
comeing off the ramp.( Could just be the angle of the track in the photos however.)

Sorry no slow-mo video of the start gate. :) I'll see if my get my hands on the track by end of month. For uneven floors I think I have some pretty wicked ideas to create a leveling kit which would allow for us to adjust the legs individually. I agree with you guys. With enough time, patience and creativity we should be able to get this track repair\adjusted for the kids to enjoy for the years to come. Hey an idea just came mind. I may get this kids involve to help out getting it sanded; will discuss it with the pack.

May use a few of these to adjust the legs.

Randy, the only reason I can see to buy a new track.
Would be if the pack wishes to hold a 18 wheeler race sometime.

With this track plateing type:
The lettering on todays wheels will bite into raised box side channels..
As the plateing is not wide enough from the rail sides to the channel sides where plateing locks in for the 18 wheelers to run down.
