looking for a software

Post by Nimrod »

that will eliminate all loosing cars in the first round untill we have a first place car. The first place car will be put to the side and all the cars will race again, eliminating all loosing cars till we have a second place car. The first, the second place car will be put to the side and all the cars will race again, eliminating all loosing cars till we have a third, fourth, fifth and six place car. BTW we have a 4 lane track.

You don't need computer programs or even paper charts to run a multiple elimination race. See http://members.aol.com/standcmr/nelim.html for details.

BTW, I would not assign 1st place as you have done. For one, it is anticlimatic. Also, it is inconsistent with the idea of multiple elimination. It could have been accomplished with one luck lane draw.

That sounds like a very time consuming process, essentially running six different single elimination brackets, if I understand you correctly. How long does it typically take to run your race and how many racers do you have? There are a couple of software packages that support single elimination, but I doubt they will run that particular race scheme.

If you must do some elimination method, then go with Stan's recomendation and do a n-elimination race (without software) or look at the race schemes that are supported by the various software packages. Please though, look at the advantages and disadvantages to make an informed decision.
