Need GPRM help

Post by Darth Gator »

My question is about doing more than one round in the Grand Finals while using GPRM 5.0.3.

I've been playing around with the software doing several what-if's before we use it for real in a couple of weeks. We will be bringing the top 3 cars from each Tigers, Wolves, Bears, Webelos I, and Webelos II for a total of 15 cars to the pack Grand Finals. (Other notes: 3 lane track, point scoring only based on PN, PPN, or CPN)

What I would like to do is run 2 rounds in the Grand Finals. The 1st Round to get the top 7 and then take the best 7 to the 2nd round for trophy determination.

Unless I am doing something wrong GPRM only let's me have one round in the Grand Finals.

Can anyone confirm this is correct? If so, is there an easy workaround short of loading a new roster and starting from scratch.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

GPRM does limit you to one Grand Finals round. I forgot specifically why I put that limitation in there, but there is a reason.

You can workaround this by creating a second data file that you use just for the grand finals. Enter your top 15 racers into a single race group in that file. Then you can run round 1, then start a new round to run your trophy round. In the second data file, you can preload everyone, but only check your top 15 racers off as having passed inspection. That way only they will be added to the race schedule.
