Max efficiency on Race Day
IF I am running Derby DMV on one laptop at the registration table, can the roster file with photos be saved in a transportable way to walk it over to the starters PC on a flash drive or such?

You would first need to export the roster from DerbyDMV to a CSV file. Then you can copy the CSV file and all of your photos over to the other computer. The photos will need to be copied to the exact same location they were on the first computer. Then in GPRM you can import that CSV file and you will see your photos showing up.pack529holycross wrote:IF I am running Derby DMV on one laptop at the registration table, can the roster file with photos be saved in a transportable way to walk it over to the starters PC on a flash drive or such?

To make it as easy as possible, ill install Derby DMV on both PCs - can the file be saved then in a format that oneclick backs up for the second copy of DMV to open, then instantly export to GPRM?gpraceman wrote:You would first need to export the roster from DerbyDMV to a CSV file. Once you have the data and photos on the flash drive, copy the photos to the same location they were on the first computer. Then use the Import button in each program of the second computer to import the CSV file data.pack529holycross wrote:To make it as easy as possible, ill install Derby DMV on both PCs - can the file be saved then in a format that oneclick backs up for the second copy of DMV to open, then instantly export to GPRM?

Jumping on here - similar question.
How about the situation when we've got the roster pre-defined in GPRM and DMV? E.g.: The check-in station takes pictures using DMV using a different PC... we walk the file over to the race computer, put the images in the same location... is there a way to automatically add all the pictures into GPRM? This year was our first experience using DMV, and we tried this, but ended up having to manually click through all 78 racer images in GPRM to add them.
If we want to have our pack roster pre-loaded, is the answer to do it in DMV (not in GPRM) until just before race time, do an export/import as described, then manually add latecomers' images one by one?
If there's a way it'll automatically load the images by refreshing the roster or restarting GPRM, it'd be nice to know. Otherwise, the process above seems relatively painless.
Thanks!

Re: Max efficiency on Race Day
Copy the images from your registration computer to the exact same location on your race computer. Use the Import feature on the Registration tab of the main screen to import your data (either from a CSV export from DerbyDMV or from the DerbyDMV data file itself). That will load the photo locations into GPRM.
You can already have your roster preloaded in GPRM. Importing from DerbyDMV will update any existing records in GPRM.
