RaceReplay and HD webcams

Post by gpraceman »

We've had several users run into problems with trying to use HD webcams with RaceReplay. We were able to get Version 4 to work with these type of cameras. If you are a Version 4 user, you can download the latest update, from our downloads page to get that feature.

For any video camera that does H.264 compression, you would select the "H.264 Hardware Compression" option in the Software Settings screen.

Anybody have recommended HD webcams that are known to work with RaceReplay? I tried several last year with the latest version of 4.x that was available at the time and no matter what combination of codec and video settings I tried it never recorded over 640x480. I tried HD cams from Microsoft and Logitech.

Thanks,
Rob

Rob,

RaceReplay Version 5.0 adds in the ability to select a video resolution supported by the specific video camera being used instead of using the default.
