I hate to see a post with no reply for this long so let me see what I can do to help you get the needed info. It looks like it has been over 1 year since Dragngoat posted on this forum so it is unlikely he still checks in but you can try a PM to him.

Additionally, he posted his invention on youtube under the same name, here is the link to his profile on youtube.

I would again try to send him a message.

There was one person in a previous post who indicated he was trying to get the plans from Dragngoat. He posted an email address so, as a last resort, you might try to send him an email.
Drag'ngoat-can you email me design, photos of the "Binder Winder"?

bstone@refractec.com

Thanks
brad
It looks like he has been over 1 year since his last post too.

Hope this helps some.

Sorry folks,
It has been a while hasn't it? Too many irons in the fire I guess. Please PM me if you are interested in the Binder Winder plans.

Thanks,

The Binder Winder is a machine that I built that winds 4 space derbys at a time and also counts the number of turns. I sell the plans for $15.

I have plans for a 2-up winder similar to the binder winder and easy to build. We built 2 of these and they work great. Counters are resettable. 2 rockets wind in about 7-10 seconds depending on drill speed and number of turns. Cost to build each unit was about $80. You will need a drill press but no machining.

Feel free to contact me for plans. They are free!

I realize this is an old post but here is contact info for dragngoat. I did order the plans from him recently. They are $15 and he mails them to you. (I will not be building them as I gave them to our pack leader.) Looks like a nice design.
Dave told me the cost is about $100 when you use all of the part numbers supplied with the plans. You may be able to find some of the parts cheaper elsewhere though.

Edit to post: I realize that I shouldn't have posted his contact info with out his permission. You might try to PM him directly and if that doesn't work them PM me. Sorry.

Does anyone have Drag'ngoat's email or contact information? I too would like to purchase his Binder Winder plans for my cub scout pack.

A couple of years back I had looked at making a winder using timing belts, I had purchsased the plans from Drag'ngoat, and was sent the plans from Jthompson. I priced out the winder using timing belts, it would have been very expensive I then made a 4 position winder using chain (because the parts were much more reasonably priced).

Is Dave OK with his email being posted on a public forum? Seems that it is his work email as well.

I'm building something a bit more ridiculous than that. It will handle five planes at a time (our track has five lanes) and is a lot longer so the kids will have room to stand in front of it and hold their own planes. I'm going to have it wind the vehicles from the prop to make it a little more fool proof even though the rubber bands are happier if stretched when winding.
