I like the car. I made a similar themed car, a pic is located in this thread
Here are some other cars we have created over the years:2008
on this site. I am curious what you used for your hardware and tuning pegs

Yea, more details on that slick paint job. Prep methods, paint type, what clear, etc...

The tuning keys are made out of fish hooks. We cut the hook part off and used that stick weld stuff like they sell on tv that you mix in your hand and is strong enough to pull a 18 wheeler. We shaped it around the eye of the fish hook and painted it when it was dry. The strings are made of bead wire. we used small rivets for the pins that the string rap around at the top of the neck. the rest of the car is wood. the top bridge is a square toothpick that we cut notches out to hold the strings. the back bridge is a small piece of wood with a square toothpick on it notched like the top one. the paint is pretty simple just some duplicolor primer and red duplicolor paint with no clear. the black pick guard and the head of the neck is testers decal paper painted black and cut to fit. the fret board is a small slice of pine that is stained then painted with model paint. Out of all the cars we have made this is my favorite. When I told my son he could do anything he wanted I had no idea it was going to turn into this. we didn't really bye anything to build it we just used what we could find here at home that worked.

The car looks great, it appears your stringing went light years better than mine. It took me 2.5 hours, because my bridge would not hole the strings in place, never mind keeping them taught. Great job.

Fantastic craftsmanship sarge: I really like the fact that you not only used materials that were found around the house, but most impressively turned them into pieces that look very realistic. The paint finish looks great too. Nice work!
