2012 - Slick as Ice!

Post by H20 »

No secret that my son has the hockey bug. This year he thought he would combine the two things he enjoys the most into one. We race this weekend, so we will see how it goes. The pack uses a supertrack, so he has it as straight as possible. This is also the first year that he has broken the weight down to grams for a final measurement instead of ounces. 144.554 was his target. He got it close.

He also learned a valuable lesson. You can not clear coat sharpie, but you can sharpie a clear coat!

A week later, sanded, repainted, and the sharpie on top of clear.

H20,

Now that car is as Slick As Ice!

Don't worrie about the sharpe pin stipes.. just tell every one.
Thay were to fast for the car anyway and thats no Hocky.

I like the box your car is keeped in.
If I would of keeped my car in a box like that maybe I could find it today.
It's really good to see that the smiles are the same as thay were back then.
And that the girl in the photos has one on her face two. ;)

I've been telling him for about 6 months its time for a haircut! He started growing it out to match some of the local hockey players that he admires. Now he is growing it out for locks of love.

Don't worry, he was called a "she" several times this last weekend. All he does is smile.

Nice design! I'll have to tell my wife about it. She has become a (Sharks) hockey fan over the last couple years...

Nicely done car

Actually...I tried sharpie on top of some clearcoat on one of our cars and it bled just as badly. I guess it depends on the clearcoat, but the one we used (I forget what brand it was) sucked the ink up like a sponge.

Beautiful car. Good Luck in the Race.
You stated, "The Pack uses a super track". I am assuming you are racing BSA. 5 ounces is 141.75 grams. If you're over that you might have to lighten it up a bit.
Best of Luck.
