Pinehead Slogans

Post by Go Bubba Go »

Just send me the catalog...

One of these days I'm gonna have a T shirt made with some Pinehead slogans on it, I think a picture of the 2 wheeler would be a great addition!!!

Pinehead slogans under consideration:

"Instant Pinehead - just add graphite"

"Pine Block + Tools + Boys = Yippee"

"It's good to be dense"

"Moment arms - a way of life"

"Official Rail Rider"

etc...

How about:

"I love the smell of pine in the morning"
"Official Block Head"
"Saw dust in my veins"
"Want to know why our car is so fast -- Ask my son"
"My other car is made of wood" - seen this as a bumper sticker

We thought of slogans for both PWD, perhaps the repeatable ones:

“Power by Sir Isaac Newton”

“Have a Pine Day!”

“Friction is not an option”

“0 to 12 in 4.000 seconds”

“He who brakes less… wins!”

“yes, my son built it!”

“Men vs The Laws of Physics at work…”

“100% environmentally friendly racing”

“5ounces of pure fury”

“The toughest 5oz contender you will ever face”

“Pinewood: Memories to last a lifetime”

“He who has the fastest chunk of wood… WINS!”

“Caution: Pinewood Dad on the loose!”

“Pinewood: Its not just a sport, it’s a way of life”

“Pinewood Dad Counseling available upon request”

“Pine: YES! Crazy: YES! Worth it: YES!”

“It’s a Pinewood thing…”

“If you have to ask why, you won’t understand the answer…”

“Pine: It’s not just lumber anymore…”

But, I have a day job! (don't we all...) LOL :D

Actually, I do know a guy who runs a place that makes souvenir key chains with a wood burning laser...

And I know of a few people who might want one...

All I need now is a short slogan to fit a key chain...

Any more thoughts, you Pineheads???

Maybe the letters T O P on one side and "Totally Obsessed Pinehead" on the other...

I'm smelling a survey or contest to pick the best slogan or t-shirt...

Once we get enough suggestions, I'll put one together here (if I can figure that feature out). LOL :D

So I talked to my "key chain friend", and I think we have an idea.

Small, flat, flashlight keychain (pic to follow later) with woodgrain veneer on both sides that he burns with a laser.

Given the button for the flashlight, there is a little less room on one side than the other. So I'm thinking initials on front, words on the back i.e.

I P or I P J A G - Instant Pinehead, Just add graphite

T O P - Totally Obsessed Pinehead

O P W - Official Pinehead Widow (for the ladies)

S I T K - Stan Is The King

P W D - I don't know, ask my son

P W D - Memories to last a lifetime

P W D - It's not just a piece of wood

O P C - Official Pinehead Counselor

T D T M - Talk Derby To Me

P A - Pineheads Anonymous

something along those lines...

any other thoughts?

Probably not more than a couple of bucks per unit at most... :D

I prefer the term "enthusiastic". :D Well, OK... geek.

But it's not like we're talking about monogrammed pocket protectors or slide rules. Not that there's anything wrong with that, of course...

Actually, I was beginning to think I would like to hear some more kid-centered slogans. If we end up nuking our participation trophies (under discussion in our Pack :x ), our boys would love to get a little flashlight with a Pinewood slogan on it for a "participation award".

Afterthought:

Does this mean that you don't want to learn the "secret handshake"?

Here's another couple that would do good on T-shirts:

Official Pinewood Derby kit - $4
Pinewood Derby "Speed Secrets" book - $13
Top Secret lube - $19
4 ounces of tungsten weights - $20
Full line of "Pro" tools - $105
Sending time with my son - Priceless!

------------------------------------------

This one says it all:

"I wanted to devise a wholesome, constructive activity that would foster a closer father-son relationship and promote craftsmanship and good sportsmanship through competition."

"Veni, Vidi, PWD. I came, I saw, and I conquered!"
"Pineheads do it without friction!"
"Pineheads do it with speed!"
"You give a boy a pinecar, he will race it in a day. You teach a boy how to build the pinecar, he will treasure it for a lifetime."
"Your kid may be an Honor Student, but my kid is the Pinewood Derby Champ!"
"Eat graphite!"
"I brake for pinecar"
"Excess graphite is never too much in moderation."
"Think locally, Act Districtly"
"Pinewood derby may lead to nowhere, but at least it's fast."
"Visualize WIRL peace"
"Gravity: It's not just a pinewood idea. It's a way of life".
"Anything not worth doing is not pinewood derby!"
"Pineheads' wives keep complaining they never listen (or something like that)."
"National Spellling Bee Runer-Up. District Pinewood Champion!"
"To err is human. To go fast is the pine!"

For my boss, she would like this one:
"Pineheads are idiots and I married their king!"

(Terry ... I can legitimately say this one  )

(Anyone else feeling just a little bit like a geek?)

... proud to be a geek ... can't spell geek without a double e's (EE)!
