Pack Race, Check. On to districts!

Post by birddog »

We had our pack race this past weekend and took 1st place in pack by a land slide.

This is our 3rd year in a row taking the pack championship and our 3rd year in a row going to districts (my Son is a Bear this year).

Strange thing is, the times are slower this year. We averaged 3.02x on a 42' best track, so I'm worried our car may not be as good as it needs to be for district.

We took 2nd at district last year, so we have our sights set high.

2 more months before district race, so we have some time to play.

i'll post some pictures when I get a chance.

Birddog,

Way to go!! I would like to see some pictures. Dog-bone cars like in the past?
I would not worry about the times as I am sure track set ups cause tremendous variance.

I don't think times can be compared between different tracks even if they are the same type nor even same track at different times/locations. 3.0 wouldn't make it on ours last year. Needed 2.8 to be competitive with a couple high 2.7's.

I agree. Don't worry about track times from one year to the next. Track setups can vary. The district track we raced on has varying best times, this years off by 0.069 sec cumulative over 3 runs from last year. That's 0.023 per run. This year's first place time would have been 4th place in last year's standings, only 0.001 faster than the next. You really can't compare at all.
