PWD box

Post by Gtdhw »

Decided it was time to clean up a bit, and get all of our pwd supplies in one place. This was an old make-shift machinist tool box that I made up for home about 10 years ago, and all of the drawers bottoms & sides are lined with a thick moisture resistant black felt. The middle drawer worked out as an excellent way to transport our cars to/from the race (will hold 5 cars very nicely/comfortably), without having to carry individual plastic cases. I think it'll serve us good over the next few years! Anyone else have a "pwd box"?

That's a nice setup! My son and I started a box for slot cars and were thinking of doing the same for the PWD cars. Our time of occupying the kitchen/breakfast bar is coming to an end and we need to become more mobile. :-D

Thanks!

Yeah, we have a tool box set up for our RC cars, and last night after looking at my workbench....and not being able to see the workbench...I decided it was time to do the same for our pwd stuff!

That is a nice set up!
I have a old tackle box set up with a full line of derby worx tools along with different tools.
I'll have to share photo later.

I have a tool box that I use for all the Pinewood derby tools. Now I have to go home and clean and organize it so I can take a photo to share.

I am flat out too embarrassed to post a pic. of the rats nest that passes for my PWD work area. It's like a tornado hit. I need to do some serious organizing this weekend.

:O

I'm going to make a second box for the "dirty" tools (drill/dremel/bits/bigger tools).

I here what every one is saying about there shops.
Mine is in need of cleaning up as well.. things are scattered every where.

Half the fun spent in the shop is making a miss on a project then having to clean it up and put things away.
Only to do it all over again with the next project.
