Thanks for the report davhamm,

Still looks like it would have been a fun day to build car and race it under there rule set.
Cant say that i'v build a car with a rule set like this one..
but I will say that if speedster & I ever get the chance build and race under a rule set like it we would be up for it.

Well at lest speedster would.. but he still would not let me race.
because i would have not tried painting the car in layers..

I would have tried sticking a little bit of the back end of the block in a cup of water for water weight in the wood.
and hope by the time race started water would not dipping out of the block.
Whoda.
What type of automobile can be spelled the same forwards & backwards?

I agree,it's Genius. I need to get some of those car kits. I'll track this thing down and see if they do it every year. I like that water thing. I'll just give the front of the car one coat for color, maybe with a sharpie. If I have to narrow the car a 1/16" I'll take a rasp. That should get it done quickly. I cannot believe what the racers on Derbytalk could come up with in a year.

Whoda, with your ideas you'll be there in Spirit.

Ha ha... I actually suggested that to the guy, if they were allowed to that just soaking it in water would be a big weight boost.

Wonder if you could bring your own paint, find some old lead based paint (Im sure it weighed more). Wonder if anyone makes extra heavy paint. LOL

If you can't add weight ..Then the least you could do is fuel the race car up!⛽️

If I cut the back off the car but never allow the wood to leave the wood off the main block, slide it to the front of the car where there is sticky Rustoleum paint waiting and stick it into the sticky Rustoleum, would that comply with the rules about never adding wood back on. It never left… I could move my COM waaaaaaay up the arc. I think we could win this thing. It would be lots of Fun trying.

Cut wood off back of car. Never leave it not touch the car .Stick cut piece on front of sticky paint on front of car. This will comply with rules.
