PWD Engineering

Post by Nitro Dan »

Ran across this article from Ohio State College of Engineering on an ultimate derby competition they had in 2007:

A link from there took me to another site about the winner of that competition:

http://www.prioritydesigns.com/news/ind ... article=89" target="_blank

That site had a nice video presentation about their winning car and how they made it:

It's pretty interesting stuff. Hope you enjoy it!

Enjoyed a lot! Thanks for posting.

At first I thought the slingshot car might have used some power source other than gravity, but after watching the video it appeared to be 100% powered by potential energy. Ingenious!

Simply outstanding!

I love the concept of "moving parts allowed"...

;)

There is a LOT you can do with that freedom.

We were total lega-beagles when we were in Scouts... in a handful of years more, my son will be ready to really get into the "real world"... this would be a tremendous venue for seeing what we can really do.
