Derby Worx 09

Post by RACER X »

WOW, we are full swing into the season and I wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year and up-date everyone on what's new at Derby Worx.

We have added several new products that we are very excited about:

The Pro Rail Rider Tool: Rail Riding was first created and taught by my partner Jay wiles of Warp Speed Inc. This new tool is created around this method and designed to work with the Pro Axle Press to help the builder bend a perfect 1.5deg. or 2.5deg. axle every time. Pair this up with the supplied Rail Rider tuning instructions or watch our new video and you can build a very fast car quickly. We have been getting a lot of e-mail from people who have built their first rail rider and can not believe the improved performance.

The Pro Body Jig: We have paired a set of Pro Body Tools together for the ultimate in accuracy when drilling a body for axles. This new tool is fully adjustable for any wheel base desired plus we have raised the holes up on the body for a lower ride height. this tool is recommended for experienced builders builders and not recommended for use with slots, the Pro Body Tool 2 is designed for slots.

The Pro Awana Ultra Lite: Derby Worx / Warp Speed has used it's CNC lathes to perfected the 1 gram Awana wheel. If you have a Awana race and can use a lighter wheel we have your solution.

The Pro Pine Car Ultra Lite: After many requests we have created a lightened, precision CNC machined Pine car wheel for those races who use Pine Car kits. This wheel weighs in at 1.3 grams and retains all of the original design and markings.

The Derby Worx RS-X : We have taken the proven RS and CNC drilled a 24 hole pattern into them taking the down to .9 grams and a new level of performance.

The Derby Worx SS-X super stock wheel: Again we have CNC drilled a 24 hole pattern in our race winning SS wheel to produce a lighter, faster and better looking wheel for open classes and league racing.

Derby Worx / Warp speed Ultra lites and Precision stocks are now available in the new B.S.A. colored wheels. Get them while they last!!!!!!!!

DERBY WORX PRODUCTS NOW AVAILABLE THROUGH THE B.S.A.

The Derby Worx Pro Hub Tool, Pro Axle Press, Pro Wheel Mandrel and Pro Axle Guide are available in your local scout shop. We have done a specialty packaging program for these items in B.S.A. colors and logos and feature the Derby Worx logo on the back. We are very excited that the B.S.A. recognizes Derby Worx products as being user friendly for both parents and kids in building a better pinewood derby car. A BIG THANKS goes out to Jim Leehy for all of his creative help in putting the final B.S.A. designs together that were approved by the B.S.A.

News;

The Pro Wheel Shaver XT2 dose a excellent job in truing the new colored wheels. They shave very clean and and easily and the light colors go almost unnoticed. So don't be afraid to try colored wheels on the Pro Wheel Shaver.

The Pro wheel shaver XT2 now comes with 2 black B.S.A. wheels to practice on before jumping on to a good set!!! We have such a huge surplus of defective wheels that do not make the cut to become a Derby Worx / Warp Speed wheels so we thought we would share them.

The Pro Outer hub Shaver: This season we have increased the reach of the cutting tip so it now works on Pine Car wheels too.

The Pro Ultra Lite Wheels: We continue to improve this wheel and for this season we have changed the inner edge of the wheel to improve glide and wheel durability when rail-riding. We have learned that everyones tracks are not meticulously set up as ours or the leagues so we gave them a little more durability while retaining all of the speed to help insure your car gets to the checkered flag trouble free.

RACER X, do you offer (or plan to offer) a Pro Body Jig that is compatible with the larger-diameter AWANA axles?

We can if there is a demand for it.

We already do a Awana version of the Pro Body Tool 2 and haven't had enough volume to warrant a Pro Body Jig-Awana yet.

How ironic. We had not bought the AWANA Pro Body Tool 2 version because we were holding out for an AWANA Pro Body Jig!

I was most impressed with the new scout flyier i got the other day, when I was ordering some wheels from scoutstuf.org.

The flier showed allot of goodies and the prices were low. Give a shout out to Racer X. A+
